Christmas Services 

Thank you to everyone who helped with readings at the carol Service. Many people said how well everyone read and good to see all sorts of different faces reading.  One of the emails we’ve had since said “Thank you for an excellent carol service, probably the best I have attended in my time in Hargrave. Great inclusive service that kept everybody involved and Clive (Rev Clive Fairclough) did a marvellous job. The church was beautifully decorated and looked it’s very best, and the hospitality was spot on…Well done”

Lottery 100 Club

The December draw was made on 17th December 2023 from the 53 people who had entered. This means we have received £689 so the prizes (50% of income) were awarded as follows:

Pop Up Pub Returns

12 October 2023

The Pop Up Pub Returns to the Village Hall! 

Dates are  confirmed as 20th October (with the Pizza Van man), followed by 24th November, 26th January, 23rd February and 22nd March. Further details to follow!

ANPR Speed Camera

Today an ANPR speed camera has been installed in the village for the first time. It is expected to make regular random appearances during the trial period and hopefully beyond. This device not only records the date/time and speed, it also takes a photograph of every speeding vehicle.

Hargrave hit by widespread power failure

Power failure after storm Eunice !

The whole of Hargrave and some of the surrounding villages were hit by a power failure following storm Eunice that hit the UK on Friday 18th February.

Birds End Crash

Van Crashes in Birds End

A man has been arrested after a crash which left a van on its side in Birds End, Hargrave. The incident took place at approximately 5:45am on Sunday 14th November 2021. No other vehicles are believed to be involved.
