As a mark of respect to HM Queen Elizabeth II, a minutes silence was held at 8pm on 18th September 2022. This was the day before the funeral and was held right across the country, commonwealth and other countries. Hargrave organised a meet to take place at 7:45PM outside the village hall where a good number of people met up and observed the minutes silence at 8pm and then sang God Save the King.
It is with great sadness that we record the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II who passed away peacefully at Balmoral Castle on 8th September 2022. The Queen, Britain's longest reigning monarch, is succeeded by her eldest son, now King Charles III.

Today an ANPR speed camera has been installed in the village for the first time. It is expected to make regular random appearances during the trial period and hopefully beyond. This device not only records the date/time and speed, it also takes a photograph of every speeding vehicle.
